Did anybody try Guildwars? My son (age 11) really wants to try guildwars. Has anybody tried it?
I read that there is 3 mill copies sold!! and that there is no montly fee.
How would you compare it to cox?

Really good game! The graphics are beautiful. I can spend way to much time just gazing at the landscapes. However, I don't think an 11 year old might find that fun
I had an easy time to get into it. It doesn't take as much time as CoX, but I think it's much more teamdependent. It doesn't offer the same freedom either (character development, skills, etc) but has a great replay value. It is free (no monthly fee) which is good (for obvious reasons). I think it's worth a try, and if he doesn't like it, perhaps someone else in the family will

I play GW too and I agree with everything Dr Z says. At the end of the day, if he doesn't like it, it will only be the same as buying a stand-alone game. You won't lose any additional cost.

Yeh I found it good, Nightfall is probably the best of the games, less teamdependant, but all three games are great. it only costs about £15 now and no monthly costs makes it a great buy. An eleven year old would find it very fun aswell because of the ease of getting into the game.
