Having been affiliated with the ASC for over three months it is high time I took the time to introduce myself properly. I am Dr. Sterfgeval, CEO and majority shareholder in Sterfgeval Industries Ltd. (SIL). I am the owner and sole license holder of a number of important and very profitable inventions.
My critics claim that I, and more importantly SIL, does not invest in Research and Development. That we only "steal" and "extort" the work of other more "gifted" persons and corporations. While it is true that we don't spend a big percentage of our expenditure on R&D in the traditional sense, we do quite a lot of research and development in a more - progressive sense of the terms.
Our main efforts are directed towards what has been called lobbying and the pursuit of lawsuits against those who would seek to profit from their inventions without the blessing of our corporations production and marketing facilities.
Trust me when I say, it takes a lot of hard work to convince politicians, lawyers and judges that SIL should be the sole copyright holder of most of todays intellectual properties. But, I am glad to say, we are getting there.
All in all, it as been a good 1st quarter for us here at SIL, and we are looking forward to a continued good relationship with the ASC.

Excellent introduction, Doctor! Precise and succinct as always. Do I detect Ms. Sterfelijk's light touch in this letter, as it is slightly less... heavyhanded than you have been known to be?
