Well, I'm glad to see that the old guild is still plodding along! Hope that everyone is well and having a dandy time still (And "Happy New Year!").

I've ended up in a niche (i.e. relatively unpopular) science-fantasy MMORPG by the name of Saga of Ryzom. Well, it has a lot of nice features, but also a lot of bad ones; however, the main thing for me is the fact that you can write your own instances! I really enjoyed working on the secret base in CoV and now I can go crazy and write actual adventures (The editor is something like the CoX base-editor, but more like a very simplified Neverwinter Nights editor, if you ever used that). The only problem is that they haven't enabled any rewards (XP, etc) for player-written scenarios, so they are just as pointless as CoX raids...Bleh! Oh, well, maybe they'll pull their finger out one day?

I've also started a serious role-playing guild there, with a strong piratical theme: The Blackwater Buccaneers. RP was something I really missed out on in CoV (though I tried hard, especially as a robotic-space-pirate) and the only reason I enjoyed CoH when I played that for a short while before I left the City games altogether. Sadly, the Ryzom server I'm on (Cho) has a terribly small population since it is relatively new, so I'm not doing quite as well with it as I did with the Anti-Spandex Corps...*sighs* Well then, any of my old comrades that fancy a change are welcome to look me up over there.

I have to say though, that I'm missing some of the really great fun (and people) of CoX, so maybe I'll pop back in before too long. But anyway, have fun and make sure those spandex-wearing weeds get a good kicking!
